Philiver have the privilege of working with breeders of Hircus goats in the Alashan region of Inner Mongolia, enabling us to deliver the finest and highest quality cashmere recognised worldwide. Other renowned cashmere brands, such as Loro Piana, also source their raw cashmere from this region. A careful combing process, completely harmless to the goats, is used to harvest only the innermost layer of the precious fleeces. This inner material is ideal for creating the finest cashmere products due to its fineness of 15-15.8 micrometers (µm) and fiber length of 36-38 millimeters (mm). For perspective, an adult's hair is 70 micrometers.
